Selling or Redeeming Gift Cards / Certificates

1. Open a table (new table or existing table).
2. Touch “Check options” at the bottom.
3. Touch “Sell Gift Card” or “Sell Gift Cert” at the top.
4. Select the appropriate option for the balance to be added to the card. You can choose from pre-set amounts, or touch “open amount” if you don’t see the amount you want to load onto the card. This will cause a number pad to populate, allowing you to type in the value you’re loading onto the card.
5. A “manual entry” button should appear if it is a gift card. Swipe the gift card you wish to activate and sell, or touch “manual entry” to type in the gift card number.
6. A voucher may print confirming the amount has been added to the card, and you How to sell and redeem gift cards/certificates should see the gift card sale on the ticket feed on the left side of the screen where food items would be.
7. Take payment as you would a normal check.

To redeem a gift card: 

Treat the gift card like you would a normal credit or debit card, including entering tips for each gift card transaction like you would a credit card transaction.

To check the balance on a gift card: 

Treat the gift card like you would a normal credit or debit card, including entering tips for each gift card transaction like you would a credit card transaction.

To redeem a gift certificate: 

1. Touch “Close Check” and then touch “Gift Cert”
2. Enter the gift certificate number (if applicable) and then enter the value of the gift certificate.
